WAMA presents – Creative Effectiveness: Elusive or Attainable?
Now more than ever we need to demonstrate ROI on creative – yet there is still so much creative out there doesn’t hit the mark.
No one sets out to make work that is dull…so what’s going wrong? And what needs to change in order to produce creative that does what it promised on the tin?
- Date: Wednesday 18th of June
- Time: Doors open at 7am for a 7.30 – 9.30am event
- Venue: Fraser’s Restaurant, Kaarta Gar-up, 60 Fraser Ave, West Perth WA 6005
- Topic: WAMA presents – Creative Effectiveness: Elusive or Attainable?
Our panel will define creative effectiveness and unpack the role that shared ambition between client and agency plays in ensuring it doesn’t fall flat. They’ll chat about how to set realistic goals and KPIs, including room for experimentation in the budget, as well as low-cost creative testing. They’ll also cover off how to measure the impact of effective creative.
Check out the panel below:
Josh Edge, Executive Creative Director, Anthologie
Josh has been getting away with it for over 20 years as a member of WA’s creative community. He’s worked at agencies across Australia, including The Brand Agency, Longtail, Meerkats/VML and Marketforce/Clemenger. What he has seen has shocked him, inspired him, and made him laugh more than cry through most of it.
He is a rapid defender of the power of creativity to change things, and is generally suspicious of mathematics, economic theories and ‘common sense’. He is a firm believer that all the answers have long been out there in the universe, but that humanity has a poor ability to connect the right answers with the right questions.
To his mind, advertising and comms have proved to be a somewhat dysfunctional funnel for creative problem solving - so he is now attempting a shift to impact partnerships as Executive Creative Director of Anthologie.
Amber Martin, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Hypnosis
Amber left Perth 18 years ago with a suitcase full of ambition and no plans to play it safe. Since then, she’s made her mark in Sydney, Singapore, London and Amsterdam, including standout years at the legendary Wieden+Kennedy.
She’s helped shape some of Nike’s most creatively effective campaigns - from Don’t Change Your Dream, Change the World for the 2019 Women’s World Cup, to Tell Us Never for Liverpool FC, and creative for Raheem Sterling’s move to Nike. She also helped launch Nike’s Motherhood Collection and the High Performance Hijab.
Now she’s back in Perth as the co-founder of Hypnosis, pouring global smarts into a homegrown agency that is does things differently.
